Tender: research assistance for Monitoring of Returned Minors

by HIT Foundation on 17/12/2012

The Monitoring of Returned Minors (MRM) project intends to contribute to more sustainable and safer return of minors. The project aims to develop a monitoring model for return of unaccompanied minors, based upon the best interest of the child criteria (UN Convention of the Rights of the Child). In addition, the project will intervene in those cases where circumstances reveal worst-case conditions.

The MRM project is carried out by HIT Foundation, innovation platform for labour and migration, in collaboration with Micado Migration and Nidos Foundation and is co-funded by the European Return Fund.

The project team is seeking subcontractors to assist with research and monitoring on the ground in Kosovo. The tender consists of two parts.

Part 1: Interviews
Test and refine the monitoring model by interviewing 150 minors that have returned from EU countries to Kosovo and Albania since 2010.

Part 2: Interventions
Defining and testing an intervention strategy for cases where circumstances reveal the worst case conditions.

Deadline for submission of proposals: 21 January 2013 at 14:00 C.E.T.
